So. Groundhog Day 2018: Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow. Fantastic. I just love cold weather.

That’s why I live in the southern United States. I don’t like cold weather. I don’t like to be cold. And now, because some groundhog in Pennsylvania saw his shadow, we are suppose to hunker down for another 6 weeks of winter?!?!? Ba-hum-bug. February 5th is right around the corner, so you can expect some type of snow/ice storm or tornados. Mark my words.

But enough of that soapbox and random stream of thought. Life in Our Little World has been hectic to say the least. We’ve had one case of the flu. Then the random snow day that made MLK weekend a five day weekend. Then we’ve been rushing around to meetings and after school events. J Man starts baseball and soccer in a couple of weeks.

So, more running around is in our future. I’m okay with that, though. I actually embrace it–because it entertains us and gives us a schedule. The worst days are when we don’t have any plans. That’s when all hell breaks loose.

Our little buddy Clay Clay was a sick pup on Wednesday. It broke his mama’s heart. He kept telling me his head hurt and would just want to lie down on my chest. His fever never got above 100 so I didn’t want to give him Ibuprofen or Tylenol…I wanted to let his little body do what it needed to do. So we took a honey based cough suppressant and used Thieves on the feet, Peppermint around the naval and Lavender behind the ears.

We repeated this process every two hours or so. We diffused Thieves, Peppermint and Lavender in three rooms. On Thursday we kept him home since his last fever was around 7pm Wednesday night. He woke up Thursday with no fever and his normal ol’ self. Essential Oils Y’all. That is all.

While home sick, he found an old tube of that lip gloss stain in one of my purses. Y’all…I couldn’t get this stuff off of his face to save my soul! Eeeekkkk…what is in there to make it STAIN YOUR FACE?!?!?!

He sees a camera and still cheeses. But this is how we spent most of the day…

There are some big changes coming down the pipeline. Just have got to get through the musical first. It’s big, and scary, and exciting, and so much more all rolled into one. So stay tuned…

But, one of the big AWESOME changes I can talk about right now is the addition of the Savvy Minerals Makeup Starter Kit at Young Living. So, you don’t need a bunch of oils right now? You don’t need a diffuser? Not sure about Ningxia or Thieves Household Cleaner just yet? Well, start with our makeup kit, and you still get all the benefits of being a member of Young Living!

Finally, PawPaw and RieRie are in town right now because J Man had Grandparents Day at school today. And then he got to leave school early and hangout with JUST him and his PawPaw and RieRie. I know he is in little boy heaven even as I type this. But before they went to J’s school, they swung by Clay’s school to have Donuts with Dad (and other special people). These little boys absolutely adore their PawPaw and RieRie and I absolutely adore the pure joy PawPaw and RieRie bring to my boys faces.

I don’t have any pics of Grandparents Day (at least, not yet), but I managed to snag this one of Donuts with Dad (and other special people) from Montessori’s FB page:

So it’s Friday (YAY)! Superbowl is on Sunday…my Saints should be there. That Minnesota game still makes my heart hurt (or my blood boil, depending on my mood). But, it is what it is. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
